We used "West System" epoxy & glass  on this job (ex Isle of Wight crab fishing boat converted for angling)

When the propeller shaft and stern tube have to be upgraded for more horse-power, or a larger more efficient prop., sometimes there's no room within the keel mouldings to accommodate  a larger tube and shaft.   A new custom- built  skeg is the answer. The work was carried out on an older hull, and very successful it was too! Many good hull mouldings are often crude below the water-line and would benefit from detail work, which can improve their performance considerably. We have designed and installed many efficient stern gear and rudder set-ups on semi-displacement and planing hulls. PHOTO,BELOW:  This modification allows for efficient water flow around the propeller and no separate prop. shaft bracket.
