Located in Rye, East Sussex,                                 River Brede Moorings offers friendly moorings for all types of yachts and motor vessels.

We have a crane available on site to lift boats, with repair facilities available in the yard

The moorings are located within walking distance of the historic town of Rye, just over the sluice gate in Rye Harbour Road. There's good access and usually space to park and if required large boat transporters can be loaded or off loaded by crane. There are a number of berths  suitable for a wide range of boats. Rye is a drying harbour with soft mud and is very sheltered with an active boating comunity. The moorings are situated on the banks of the tidal section of the River Brede, known locally as "Rock Channel" and forms the lowest section of the river before it joins the River Rother on it's last mile and three quarters to the sea. The M20 at junction 9 is 30 minutes away and there's a regular train service to Hastings and Ashford.

We also have some hard standing space upon which boats may be stored ashore. Electrical power is available, as is fresh water. There are a number of pontoon type moorings that have proved to be very popular, allowing the owners to get on and off their boat without the need for ladders or similar.

What the crane driver saw!   and  who's on his way up the mast then?

Below   "at low tide", the soft mud is ideal for power boats and yachts alike. The boats are supported evenly and are generally safe in the mud at low tide.
